Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Part Time (0.5 FTE) Secretary at Fox Creek, AB.
Successful candidates responsibilities:
-Be an ambassador for Fox Creek School
-Provide friendly reception to school visitors.
-Provide efficient and professional administrative support to the administrative team and the school
-Maintain files for attendance and absence verification
-Work fluently in PowerSchool Database ( i.e. student attendance/demographic changes/detailed attendance reports)
-Organize and accurately maintain filing system of confidential information
-Plan and schedule meetings for administrative team
-Maintain office equipment and distribute supplies
-Distribute mail to school personnel
-Provide logistics for staff absences including substitute bookings
-Provide clerical duties as required including managing a high volume of calls and emails
-Provide social media duties and updates including Facebook,Twitter, and School Website
Successful candidate requirements/assets:
-Office Assistant Program, preferred
-Communications/Marketing/Public Relations course, preferred
-Office related computing/technology courses
-Previous receptionist experience, preferred
-Superior interpersonal skills with a team orientation
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy and efficiency
-Well-developed organizational and administrative skills.
-Excellent ability to manage work load in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to work in an independent setting with minimal supervision
-Ability to work cooperatively with different groups-staff, students, parents, publics
-Strong creative and analytical skills
Hours of work:
Monday-Friday 12:30 pm till 4:00 pm daily- 17.5 hours per week.
$17.32/hour- $27.55/hour depending on qualifications and experience
Duties will commence as soon as possible.
