TUXIS Youth Parliament Opportunity

Expand Image

On behalf of MLA Todd Loewen, we’d like to share with your students a unique opportunity to participate in the TUXIS Youth Parliament, an annual event that occurs each December during the Christmas break.  This youth parliament takes place within the Legislature Building in Edmonton and is open to all young, aspiring leaders, including those from high school and university.

Recently, the Edmonton Journal ran a story on the upcoming 100th anniversary of this tradition: https://edmontonjournal.com/news/local-news/albertas-oldest-youth-parliament-celebrates-100-years-of-training-leaders

It’s a great opportunity for anyone who wishes to hone debate skills, develop leadership qualities, or simply make new connections with similarly engaged, young Albertans.  If you would like to know more or register online, please visit https://www.tuxisyp.com.  We have also attached a copy of the registration form that the Office of the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly asked us to share with interested constituents.

Because this is an independent organization not officially affiliated with our office, we would ask that you forward any questions to the Premier of the TUXIS Parliament, Carly Russell, by emailing carlyrussell13@gmail.com.
