Ms.White's Grade 4 class participated in ERA's ( Electronic Recycling Association) Poster Contest to promote the use of electronic waste and the negative impact it has on our environment. Each student was asked to draw a poster and create their best waste reduction ideas and to incorporate ERA's mission of reducing unnecessary electronic waste. One student from Ms. White's class was awarded the prize of a refurbished laptop and this years winner was Khayzen De Guzman.

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is a non-profit organization that has been reducing unnecessary electronic waste since 2004. We reduce adverse environmental contribution through electronic recycling, re-purposing and through the donation of electronics and other IT Equipment. With a number of drop off locations around Canada based primarily out of Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Saskatoon, Toronto, Montreal and Winnipeg, and an electronic pickup service, the ERA provides a meaningful way for organizations and individuals to deal with their old computer equipment in a safe and secure manner that matches or exceeds government standards.
