The 2025 Alberta School Board Election takes place on Monday, October 20, 2025.

NGPS is now accepting applications for various roles for advance voting and election day poll workers. Competitive pay rates and mileage will be provided for training, advance voting where applicable, and election day. Written applications indicating polling station preference and past related experience may be submitted to:

Presiding Deputy Returning Officer (PDRO) 
The PDRO manages the voting station by supervising the election staff, setting up the voting station, answering questions from scrutineers, maintaining control and security of the voting station, managing the vote count, and returning the ballot box, ballots and election materials to the Returning Officer on Election Day.

Deputy Returning Officer (DRO) 
The DRO assists voters with the voting process. A DRO will greet, assist, and direct voters before they register to vote. The DRO will supply the ballot and voting instructions to electors, will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the voting station, and will assist in the counting of the ballots at the close of voting.
